Frayer & Judge Construction is a full-service, relationship-driven construction firm offering a vast array of services including Custom Luxury Homes, Semi-Custom Homes, Townhomes, Renovations, and Single-Family Home Communities / Planned Development Construction. Formed out of a belief in genuine integrity, quality craftsmanship, & reliable expertise, Frayer & Judge brings these simple concepts to clients with an intuitive approach to all design, build, and renovation projects. Approach to Excellence
At the heart of our construction journey with you is a commitment to excellence in integrity, quality, and professionalism. To achieve this goal, we utilize a design + build approach.
- It begins with the initial consultation to discuss important project details like desired location, design concept, timeline, & tentative investment.
- Once the location is determined we will begin to really build the vision to include your desired features and details. Are you dreaming of a home office with an amazing view, or a primary suite with private access to the back deck, or a cozy keeping room with a fireplace? We will work to uncover and outline the vision.
- The journey then continues as we work with you to meet your investment goals. By reviewing material options, appliance packages, level of trim carpentry, and other details, we can work to make adjustments so that you can move to the next step with confidence in your investment.
- Once your design and budget have been determined you can enjoy selecting finishes such as paint colors, tile, and flooring. You can meet with our design consultant at our showroom in Sandy Spring or work with your own designer. Whichever path you choose our team will work to achieve the look and feel you are dreaming of with the finish selections.
- During the building process a specific construction manager is assigned to your project and will stay with you throughout. Our team of owners and managers meet regularly to ensure material orders, timelines, change orders, and other key factors are controlled. Frayer & Judge uses the Builder Trend software to run every job efficiently. Attention to quality, timelines, budgets, and safety are everyday commitments we strive to maintain during the building process.
- When your project is complete your construction manager will guide you on an orientation to make sure you are comfortable and knowledgeable with all the functions and features.
- We will introduce you to our warranty team who will assist with any items that need attention to help maintain your investment. On or around the one-year mark from your move-in date, our warranty manager will visit again to address any issues and discuss maintenance moving forward.

In 2014, Ed Frayer & JC Judge joined forces, merging years of experience together, to offer clients valuable solutions to general contracting needs. Each leader expertly delivers key knowledge and management skills creating a solid partnership that covers the scope of any design, build, or renovation project. Communication and availability are crucial for all involved from developer or homeowner to material supplier, sub-contractors, architect, designer, and landscaper. The Frayer & Judge team has a systematic approach to ensure that all parties are working together as decisions are needed to keep the job moving and complete the successful execution of the project. The art of craftsmanship is highly visible in this dynamic duo and the teams they lead.
ED FRAYER
Ed served in the US Navy Construction Battalion stationed in Alaska and learned electrical and refrigeration among other skills. After living and working in different parts of the county Ed made Atlanta home in 1996. Ed’s work ethic, attention to detail and thirst for knowledge landed him in different roles where he fine-tuned his craftsmanship and leadership skills. He enjoyed working with wood and became a master carpenter sought after by high-end clients. As a Superintendent with JE Dunn, then known as RJ Griffin, he worked on multi-million-dollar jobs such as Northside Hospital’s Women’s Center and luxury condominium projects in Saint Simons and Augusta. Ed took pride in running accident-free job sites and becoming LEED accredited. With over a decade of experience, a strong network, and a leap of faith, Bluepoint Construction Southeast was started in 2012.
Clients were satisfied with his commitment to quality and his reputation quickly grew in the Atlanta Metro area. In 2014 Ed met JC Judge and decided to create a partnership to better reach client’s needs and take on more opportunities. Frayer & Judge Construction was formed, and the rest is history in the making.
Ed is deeply involved in every project and ensures that high standards are kept and the client’s goals are met. He enjoys investing in property and investing in his staff. When not on the job site you will find Ed on the mountain bike trail, learning to be a pilot, wake surfing at the lake, fishing, and spending time with his family.
JC JUDGE
JC served in the United States Coast Guard as a small boat rescue swimmer and member of the drug interdiction boarding team in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He went on to attend the Naval Academy Preparatory School in Newport, Rhode Island before finishing his military service in Washington D.C. JC moved to Atlanta in 1991 and attended Georgia State University. JC bought his first fixer-upper in 1994 and started as an Assistant Builder for Highland Homes in 1996. He moved on to the commercial side of the business, building a Midrise Condominium project in Buckhead. He went off on his own in 1999, running a production roofing and siding business, doing custom renovations, and contract home builds for customers around Atlanta.

With a heart to help those in need, JC started commuting to Houston in 2008 to help rebuild after Hurricane Ike. JC’s commitment to quality was noticed quickly and he was recruited to do Federal Government projects which included renovating secure military facilities for the US Army, historic military renovations for the US Coast Guard, and building a pier in the Caribbean for the National Park Service. JC moved back to Atlanta in 2012 to focus on rebuilding his business and being a dad. In 2014, JC met Ed Frayer and the two merged to create Frayer & Judge to better reach client’s needs and take on more opportunities.
JC is very hands-on with the field personnel, contract negotiations, and customer development. When not on the job site you will find JC on the bike trails as a coach for the Sope Creek Mountain/ Riverwoood High School Bike Team, blue water sailing & scuba diving, and spending time with his friends and family.
